Amazing Sailing Trip May/June 2017

Day 1: Flew into Beef Island. Greeted by BVIP with amazing service. Felt like royalty! Straight to Sunsail Base to sleep aboard boat (444 catamaran). Made decision to sail clockwise--I am sure that the MIT group was fun and exciting, but we were looking for less crowded anchorages this trip. Had we gone counter clockwise, we would have been with them all but one night.

Day 2: Checked out boat and sailed to White Bay, Jost Van Dyke. Beautiful beach. Hung out at Hendo's Hideout, played cornhole and had a few pain killers. Amazing first day/night!

Day 3: Quick trip to Cane Garden Bay. Toured Rum Factory (highly recommend) and stayed on beach in front of Myetts.

Day 4: Monkey Point- snorkeled with tarpon and beautiful fish. Mountain Point on Virgin Gorda- snorkeled Kodiac. Exciting! Very easy to see while snorkeling- can't wait to see on future trips as reef grows! Then to Leverick for the night.

Day 5: Quick motor over to Bitter End. Great Saba Rock for tarpon feeding at 5pm.

Day 6: Beautiful sail to Anegada, car rental to Loblolly for enjoying the pink sand beach and great snorkeling. Dinner at Wonky Dog- great lobster, fun fire juggling show, and wonderful staff made for perfect evening.

Day 7: Anegada- Cow Wreck Beach for the day, then Potters for lunch

Day 8: Beautiful sail to Cooper Island. Snorkeled Cistern Point- saw best fish of entire trip. Snorkeled around boat, saw many turtles- one with a hump in his back that had 2 Ramoras under it.

Day 9: Back to base, then back to Houston.

We had the time or our lives!! Can't wait for our next sail!

Highlights: snorkeling Kodiac, dinner at Wonky Dog, amazing sail from Anegada to Cooper, and snorkeling with turtles at Cooper.

Thank you TTOL for letting us know about BVIP and The Kodiac!!
