I go topless all the time on the beach and no one seems to care. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

SXMScubaman said: It has been mentioned that it is not legal on the Dutch side but some people, mostly tourists, will do it anyway by ignoring the law. And that includes Dawn Beach. It has been mentioned that being topless on St Maarten beaches is illegal, but not proven. Do you have a link to such law or a pdf or anything, or are you just citing hearsay?

People seem to equate toplessness with full nudity, when it is obviously not the same. There is NOT any law against being topless, on either side of the island. If the question is, is it common on the Dutch side, particularly on Dawn Beach, the answer is probably "no". Is it seen there? Yes. All in all, not a big deal, one way or another. This one is done.
