We were thinking we might extend our trip this year, and after our Royal Islander timeshare week concludes on Sat, Oct 21st., we'd like to hop over to the Orient Beach area, and spend Sat, Sunday and Monday night over there and go home Tuesday morning. Any ideas for a reasonable rental place? We would need a rental that has a full or queen size bed. If it matters, we are a married male couple from Massachusetts. (I figure that won't be an issue on the French side, as it isn't an issue n the Dutch side.) Parking would be helpful, also. And reasonably close to the beach, i.e. walking distance, would be great...

We stayed 4 days at Blue Bay Beach just off Orient Village and loved it. Short walk to the beach and the village and very quiet in the evening. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. I booked it on www.wiol.com

I have pics if you want but Room 201 is excellent with a partial ocean view from the balcony. Worth the upgrade in my opinion. The kitchens are efficiencies but functional, ice machine just down the stairs. (OK, I'll admit it, ice is important to me!)

We have stayed in the Orient area a few times. The place I would recommend has a 6 night minimum in low season. There are quite a few places that have availability for your dates. Check out vbro and use the map starting in the area of Ave. de Plages. Personally for only 3 nights I would pay a bit more to be along the beach and the restaurants in the village. Have fun!
