When we charter in BVI we stay at the Sugarmill and absolutely love it. We are going to take a Moorings charter in St Lucia next year and are looking to stay at a hotel with a similar atmosphere as the Sugarmill. We will have our teenage kids with us so cannot do an adult only. Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with Sugarmill, but I am familiar with the hotels in Rodney Bay St. Lucia. If no one can help you out, let me know what you're looking for in the hotel and I could suggest a few places from anywhere between $50-$300+ a night.

Capella in Marigot Bay St Lucia is perfect. All new rooms and great restaurants. Marigot Bay is inside two reefs and is as picturesque as it gets. Steep walled and calm in most weather, it is perfect for paddling or kayaking around. Remote from most of the island it stays calm and quiet.

Rodney Bay is busy. Not for me
Have fun.

Capella is awesome - we stayed there on our boat last July and had a great time!

I'd suggest checking VRBO as they do have some offerings for Capella. We used this to find a condo on Rodney bay in October last year. It was a nice spot, walking distance to town and had a pool too.

Thank you. We are looking for somewhere to unwind for a couple days before our charter. We prefer to not be at a large all inclusive resort. Something smaller on the beach with open air dining options either at the hotel or within walking distance. Price range is about $350-500 per night.
