I am so sorry- my last post was I am just asking which hotel they should pick before their bareboat charter--Mary's Boon, Simpson Bay Resort or Flamingo. I am chartering a bareboat out of dreams yacht. We want to stay in Simpson bay pre charter to be near little bars and restaurants. We also want a post charter hotel in a different area of st martin so we can experience different things. I am looking for suggestions of what area for after bareboat charter hotel. Again would like to be on the beach and near bars restaurants. Orient beach maybe, not sure? Phillipsberg? We are late 40s and early 50's This is our first visit to st martin

This may help those with suggestions. Hotel - how many nights before and after the charter? Some places will not do a one night stay. Will you be renting a car before/after your yacht charter?

Dream Yachts will make hotel recommendations. I don't know if there are minimum days but we really like Simpson Bay Resort. Try the French side post cruise.

We have used the Turquoise Shell Inn located on Airport Rd almost to the drawbridge and within walking distance of a number of restaurants and bars. They've been remodeling and changing to longer term rental, but in past have done 1 and 2 days when available. www.tshellinn.com
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

The original poster wants someplace on the ocean, which TS is not.

Grand Case - maybe Love Hotel, basic and on the beach
Orient - lots of choices - Esmeralda, Palm Court, La Playa [think La Playa is doing room reno's this summer // fall?] Blue Bay Beach, La Plantation, Alamanda and?
Noth GC and Orient have beach and food options

Mary's Boon better beach in my opinion but a little further from "the action".

I love Mary's Boon myself, but IF you're going to be there on SUNDAY afternoon, there will be LOUD noise from Karakter next door. If loud noise doesn't bother you or if you LIKE loud noise, I'd do MB. Just for another option, since you're 5 people, you probably ould do with one room at Royal Palm. Two bedrooms, plus a sleeper sofa. Walking distance to more restaurants and bars than pretty much any other hotel.
