So this is it! Time to go home. I've been out on the porch watching the ships and boats and thinking, "Self, you reallllly don't want to go home, do you?" And then I remember the old saying, 'you can't come back until you go home! '

So, this really is it......!!

The luggage is mostly all packed and we've already had that last cup of coffee on the porch while watching the ships go by. Some errands to do - breakfast at the yacht club and then to ZeeBest for sandwiches to travel with and a quick top at the Towers to do some last minute things and say goodbyes to those we missed last weekend, and then some airport time.

Our JB flight to JFK went smoothly and the global entry really did speed thing up, too. Now if only they could enhance the checked luggage arrival to the carousel.........our driver was but a phone call away and the next thing I knew, we were back in CT, home safe and sound, and with another great trip under our belts.

The grass needs cutting, the laundry hampers will soon be over-flowing, the mail needs sorting and the bills need paying, not to mention all the other 'getting home' details that need attending to after a three week absence.......

So, much like Scarlet O'Hara, I'll think about it all tomorrow.

Respectfully,

pat

Sounds like an uneventful trip home, which seems to be very unusual these days. Glad you're home safe and sound and even more glad that you took us along!

'you can't come back until you go home! ' - that, and knowing the exact day when I'll come back, make it so much easier to leave.

Pat, glad you are home safely. I didn't think you would get in to JFK without issue yesterday. The weather was really REALLY terrible. Glad you had no problems.

Take a deep breath and relax before jumping back into the deep end of the Home Again Pool.

Welcome home again. Sometimes going away really makes you appreciate the comforts of home. You will now get a break from writing reports each day to keep us entertained. Thanks for doing that as I know it is something extra to do when on vacation and once you start it is difficult to stop.

Always...... One night while we were at BSV I heard him rambling around the kitchen around 1 am. He was getting himself a dish of rhum raisin ice cream. And he still has a 31" waist! It's obscene!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Very good for him and that "tradesman" stomach.

We too thoroughly enjoy your reports. You certainly have the "writer's gift". Do remember when you are on island, you are on vacation. Never feel you must write a report. You have built up quite a fan base.
