First off I know schedules will change and we have to go with the flow of things once Island Time arrives. That said we still like to have an idea of the "plan". Looking at our schedule there is a day that is open, 7/8: What do we do as Full Moon is July 9 and we want to visit Trellis that night? Any thoughts of what do do with the day?

I was thinking: Add Salt Island after Cooper, But do not know about the anchorage. Is it OK? We have never visited Salt Island.
Head to JVD from Anegada then back to Trellis.
Stay another day in Anegada
Head to Marina Cove for one day then over to Trellis.

Anyways any thoughts for the schedule?

Sun July 2 Travel day
Mon, July 3 Cooper
Tues July 4 Virgin Gorda
Wed, July 5 Virgin Gorda
Thurs, July 6 Anegada
Fri, July 7 Anegada
Sat, July 8 ?????
Sun, July 9 Trelis Bay Full Moon
Mon, July 10 JVD
Tues, July 11 Norman's Island
Wed, July 12 Peter Island
Thrus, July 13 Time to leave

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help

Stop at Marina Cay or Scrub Island Marina. Then a short hop over to Trellis for full moon.

"Virgin Gorda" is pretty vague.
could return to VG again (Spanish Town, BEYC, Leverick. Mountain Point ).
Also Marina Cay or Scrub Island as mentioned above.
Trellis will need to be fairly early, or you can reserve a mooring ball at "The Last Resort".

You might consider re-ordering the beginning of your trip. If you go: Cooper, VG, Anegada, Anegada, VG you would be able to take in the Jumbies BBQ at Leverick on Friday night which is always a real treat.

As for Sat. Scrub or Marina Cay would make for a short trip to catch an early ball at Trellis for the FMP.

That is an interesting option. Normally we spend 2 days in the sound...one renting a car and touring the island.

With the summer winds will the sail back from Anegada to VG hard on the nose?

How do you reserve in advance? Can you email the Last Resort? Or call the day before? How does this work? I did not know this was available.

Thanks,
Dave

We will be at the FMP in June. We chose to get a slip at Scrub, then use the free water taxi to go back and forth to Trellis. Last ferry back at 11:30. Have fun <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

I'd like to be a jelly fish, cause jelly fish don't pay rent.

Salt island is not a suitable overnight anchorage. I also think you are missing a lot by not visiting JVD.

If you get out of the Anegada anchorage relatively early you should have plenty of time to do VG by car and then hit the Jumbies. Taking in the view, and a few cocktails, at Hog Heaven is the best way to pre-party.

As an aside, our itineraries will overlap. We are on a Moorings PC 7/3--7/10 and plan on being at Leverick for the Jumbies and might take in the FMP from a slip at Scrub. Undecided on the last part.

A lot of good ideas but I just hit me; Why not do Norman Island first instead of at the end of the journey which was our routine. Then we can take 2 days at JVD, instead of one, near the end of the trip.

Only issue: Is it allowed to party hardy on the first night at The Wille T? I hope we are not breaking any rules <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

Hey Dave F we are on charter 7/10-7/22. We may cross paths at Norman as that is always our first stop. We are on Tootsie 41 Beneteau BVIYC. Stop in for a beer!
