We flew home on March 23rd and it did not appear to be open nor was any work being done. Hope Estate Market around the corner from it was open and is a well stocked grocery store. If you are looking for North American brands they carry lots and the prices are good. 1Euro =1 US.
Dave--I'm thinking that you're referring to the other grocery store there in Hope Estate, as I have not heard anyone say that the Super U is open there in Hope Estate and no one has reported any activity either.
I guess we will go to Marigot again. Not interested in North American brands. In St. Martin is one time I can grocery shop without having to scrutinize the labels for soy-based ingredients. Very little soy in EU food, in US it is in everything (soybean oil, soy flour, soy protein, soy lecithin) because it's cheap for the Frankenfood producers
Depending on how much stuff you need, the Petite Casino in Orient Village has a decent selection and the prices are not that much more than Super U for most things. And, depending on where you are, Petite Casino has free delivery for orders over 50E, at the SAME price as in the store, within Orient Village..
