When all else fails, go to Le Galion. Nice conditions, good food at a reasonable price and probably one of the few (if not the only) beach that was fairly calm and no sandblasting. Chairs were sold out by 11:30.

Glad you had a good beach day. Unfortunately there have not been a lot of those this time..
Any word on the long term status of the beach bar there?

Tried to reply earlier but may not have hit the right button. Was at Le Gallion last two days with the wind and one of the employees told us the story of the legal battle but it's an independent against the environmentalists and Le Gallion is a nature preserve. It did not sound positive to us that they would be there after high season. Great place, good food and nice people...I hope it works out
