Thanks to Mark's website I stumbled upon the Park & Save Market in Manuel Reef. We will be chartering out of there and was curious if anyone had used them to provision. According to their facebook page, they look to be decently stocked. Had no problem with delivery services in the past but haven't heard of this market and if they are within walking distance it could be a winner.

thanks for starting the topic..hope you don't mind if I tag on a question to your question. Does anyone recall a post about provisions...ideas of what to bring and how much...how much water..? I thought it was a sticky post som place but cannot locate it.

Of course not! There's a ton of information on here about provisioning if you search back, and as far as orders I believe a lot of people include them in the trip report section. No doubt there'll be more info posted by morning.

Sidebar to this..you have " Gene's" amazing restaurant right there at Manuel Reef open for lunch and dinner ( amazing food)..know she closes on Tuesdays..back to provisioning!

For water, we provision at minimum 1/2 gallon per person per day. Always pick up a few more gallons along the way. As for "what to bring and how much" really depends on your eating & drinking habits - how much you eat on the boat vs how much you eat on shore, etc. I'm always a bit embarassed by our liquor provisioning order at the start of a trip ... and then we end up picking up a few bottles along the way. I tell my crew that it's a "no judgment zone" when ordering

I was in the Park and Save back on August. While they do have a fair enventory of essentials, I would call it more like a convenience store than a provisioning grocer. In my 2 months on island I did my heavy shopping at the Riteway in Pasea and One Mart a few blocks further on.
However, since then Bobby's at the round-a-bout in town has been completely remodeled and remerchandised and I am hearing some good reports.

My benchmark for booze provisioning was from a Voyage cat with 6 or 8 people...7,000.00 for 2 weeks. You know who you are  Grey Goose-2 cases Moet Champaign-2 cases Bud Light-8 cases 2 cases of wine and more....
