We just renewed our passport in Jan. and had the new ones back in 7 days for Don's and 10 days for mine. We didn't do expedited so I can't help you with that. Fastest I ever had them returned

We lost ours so it was more than renewal and it took 10 days.

Same here, back in late summer, it took 10 days. I was going to expedite it and the woman at the post office told me not to, waste of money. She was right.

The expedited fee is US$60.00 and includes postage. Don't forget to order your passport card - well worth the extra US$30.00 - valid for international land and sea travel and domestic air travel. ============== LINK LINK2

No, you don't need to include a return envelope. I renewed mine last summer and it took about two weeks.

We just renewed in September, got them in eight days. The old passports returned one week later. Super fast.

I was told when we were renewing ours that certain times of the year can take longer. Examples would be around the holidays and spring break. Might be why you're 3 weeks out.

i assume you are asking about renewing a US Passport - if so we renewed ours back in October - took 8 days from mailing to receipt of new ones.

That is what they are saying now for renewals..5-6 weeks from receipt so 3 weeks so far is to be expected

We did our renewals this month and did the expedited method. It took one week and the old ones are not yet back. No need for an envelope, just pay the extra fee. It came back expedited via USPS. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

My wife's passport expires in September. Should she renew before our trip in late June?

If you are going to stay on the island and not leave to go to Anguilla or St. Barts or Saba anywhere else, you don't need to renew it before. If yes, then you probably should. Some other islands require your passport to be good for 6 months after you enter the country. Sint Maarten (which I assume you'll be flying in and out of the Dutch side??), does NOT require that, so if you're just staying on island, you don't need to renew now.

We sent ours to US Embassy or whatever in Curacao by Fed Ex and pre paid return FedEx and got it back in less than 2 weeks. Had photo taken right there at the shops at SBYC.
