Tuesday 5/18.…Day 5. Up at 7, it’s a beautiful day. Weather looks fabulous. Have to get SIL at the airport at 1:30. Breakfast in the room as usual. Off to the Concierge; saw Sylvia and Brenda; talked to our new concierge Gabrielle…asked him to make us reservations to LaGondola for anniversary dinner next week. He wants us to have breakfast/lunch with Judy; no thanks. Back for a quick swim in “C” pool and then off to the Driftwood Bar to wait for USAir to arrive, which it did 10 minutes early. Off to the airport to pick up SIL and on our way back to the unit. Signed in at the PMR check-in desk, to the unit to unload and off to BBB for a burger. Back to the unit, changed for a swim in “C” pool. Shower and off to BBB again for $1 carbis from 6-8 and the crab race. Needless to say, #24 Eddie Murphy and #12 Bill Clinton didn’t win! Back to the unit for cheese and crackers, etc. Early to bed for SIL who’s been up since 2 a.m.
Wednesday 5/19.…Day 6. Up at 7, breakfast and packing for the beach. Off to Le Succiere(?) for a baguette. Best baguette on the island and only a buck! Back to the unit and made sandwiches and on our way. Very overcast in the morning, but a little sun came out in the p.m. Water was beautiful, warm with slight waves. Stayed most of the day and then back to Pelican for Jimmy Buffett party at the “B” pool. Too much talking and not enough music, although they did have a few games and gave away some prizes. Back to the unit for a homemade spaghetti and meatball dinner and relaxing after a long day at the beach.
Thursday 5/20.…Day 7. Up early, breakfast in the unit. Off to the bakery for our daily baguette and made sandwiches for our trip to Mullet Beach. I love this place. I think it’s my most favorite beach after Prickly Pear in Anguilla. Sun was shining, blue skies, warm breeze. Water was very calm and the place had quite a few people there. Lots of jumping fish today! Nice to watch the planes come in for a landing at the airport. Did a little snorkeling and left around 4. Fantastic afternoon. Back to Pelican for a swim and a shower before dinner in tonight. Heading to the beach later for karaoke night......to be continued.....
