Horrible. Man crushed to death by a falling boulder he had been sitting on.

WOW. Possibly due to the large swells hammering area recently?

The Bubbly Pool has been officially closed all week, as have been many beaches.

Truly horrible and tragic...we had a lot of rain down here and that seems to have dislodged some big rocks and boulders..the house at the very west end of Apple Bay, formerly owned by Dave Karlson.has had two HUGE boulders come down on its patio. The house is empty and for sale but one of those boulders had to weigh over 2,000 pounds. Fortunately we have no slide problems in the rest of our " lane"..Be careful out there..

Haven't been able to stop thinking about his all day. Can't even imagine what the family is going through.

Mal, See you've been online so asking if the house you mentioned is the one to the left of the Villas?

I bought in 1989..could not buy CRC now! Think this place will go cheap, though, as its in very poor condition but includes much of the land up to the point. I know of one construction guy who's been looking at it with interest..may be some legal wrangles too involved.

I know where I could stay on the beach in Apple Bay for a lifetime and not pay nearly as much as buying. Plus it come with a few free beers and plenty of local knowledge..

Yea but "staying on the beach" gets awfully damp and buggy at times. Now if you had a CRC like Mal... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

This thread seems to have wandered off a bit. This is a tragic story of a young Canadian man. All we can do is remember that life is fragile and nature is unforgiving at times -- even in paradise.

Sorry to read of another tragedy at the pool.
