Appears to be about $300 r/t from NY. Jeez, why can we never get prices like that from Florida??

Or any place other than the East coast? Based on what I recently paid for 1 trip, I could have made 3 at that price.

Crap! $334 R/T for our dates in January from BOS...definitely paid more than that but don't want to look

Maybe January demand for SXm is down. I just found a week in a one BR at the Atrium for a friend starting 1/15 for $99/night plus tax

Edited to add: just checked seat availability on our flights...Really not a huge number available. Guess they are just trying to fill remaining seats last minute. Makes sense...

For some reason, January is the slow, low, high season. Everyone is back to work and school. Airfare and hotels are at the lowest during January "high" season. Take advantage if you can LOL

If the difference is more than $75 (I think) it's worth calling JB and getting a credit to your account for the difference in fare price. It goes in your travel bank to use on future trips to SXM.

Yes! But you can only get credit in your JB 'bank' within 2 weeks of booking. After that, you're SOL.

Not true. We got a credit several months after we booked.

I think there is no charge the first 2 weeks, then after that you can get a credit minus a charge.

sorry yes it was $139. one way from BOS to SXM. I didn't look further to see if it was via NY or whatever because we paid more for March. But then I wondered if there was hotel availability . Great price if there's someone you want to join you at a TS that's already booked.

The sale prices are also valid out of New York to SXM but we had already purchased our tickets and the prices we paid were better than the current sale prices for our specific flights. We tend to purchase our tickets very early for our normal timeshare weeks, and find we get the best prices doing it that way.

With regard to refunds, if you are able to get a better price during one of their sales, JB definitely does credit back monies to your JB Bank but it is less their fee which I believe is based upon the original purchase amount of your ticket. The only down-side of their policy is that you CAN'T get an actual cash refund and you only have one year in which to use the banked monies. But hey, that's better than nothing, right?!

pat

Prices seem cheaper now. We had booked flights to SXM out of Boston on Jet Blue a couple months ago for 3-20-17 we had to move the dates to 5 days later so we ended up changing them a few days ago and saved $500. round trip for the both of us, they gave us a credit for that amount. It looks like we'll be taken another vacation some where.

I sent this question to JB and here is their response:

If you notice a lower fare on your same flight within 14 days of your original booking date, let us
know by promptly calling 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) and we'll be happy to offer you JetBlue credit for
the full difference in fare. If you notice a lower fare 15 days or more after your original booking
date, we'll still honor the lower fare for a fee of $60 - $70 per person if the Blue or Blue Plus
fares were selected at the time of purchase. If you purchased a Blue Flex fare, we'll waive the
Honor Lower Fare fee and you'll receive the full difference in fare currently offered, even if you
notify us of the lower fare 15 days or more after your original booking.
