Anyone have information on the Simply/Super U in Hope Estate? Is it open, what the hours are on Sundays? Or where to get groceries/alcohol on Sunday after 3 pm between the airport & Oyster Pond? Thanks for the help!

Kind of confused by your question, considering Hope Estate is not between the airport and Oyster Pond. But, as far as I know Super U is not yet open in Hope Estate. Between the airport and Oyster Pond on THIS Sunday? Hopefully not, since that is New Year's Day. Otherwise, any other Sunday, you should be able to get whatever you need at Market Garden, at the corner of Billy Folly Road.

Sorry if our post was confusing. We prefer to go around on the French side to avoid some of the traffic congestion, it just works better for us. Had hoped to stop at Grand Marche in Cole Bay but see they are only open until 2 on Sundays so just looking for other options. And no, not this Sunday, we are arriving on Sunday, January 29th. Thanks for posting Carol!

I know that they got in trouble with the government, who said they couldn't stay open that late, continuously. For a while there they were closed in the middle of the afternoon and reopened later, but I don't think they are reopening now. I think their newspaper ads now say that they just close at 12:45.

FWIW, Petit Casino in Orient will be open sunday until 7 at least, IIRC. Less selection than one of the big stores, but really some upscale stuff there, and certainly enough to help you celebrate your first night on vacation there! Wouldn't be too far out of your way as you will be on the ring road anyway. :>)

Yes that is great news because we don't usually arrive until 2:00-2:30 on Sundays. Their email response time was only a couple hours too which was impressive. I emailed Fresh Market as well and never received a response from them.

Here's their response and it came from Bush Road, I hadn't noticed that so I just emailed them again to clarify:
Good Afternoon Patty,
We are open until 6 PM on Sundays.
