Has anyone been to the New Year's Eve Party at Club Orient and have a review? Wondering how lively it is, how many people there, what kind of music etc?

Thanks!

Its a great time. Need reservations for the dinner. Like anywhere, if you don't know your table mates it takes awhile to get the conversation going. But champagne usually assists in that regard. Food was an excellent buffet last time. Had live island dance show followed by band/singer and I think some dj action intermixed. Way before midnight it will be hopping with dancing and you'll have a great experience watching fireworks au naturel. We were there last year. The cost is not cheap but worth it. You could still eat off property and come home and drink/dance and watch fireworks. You'll need to make reservations asap for either papagayo or elsewhere now.

Thanks for the info - sounds good to me. Called the club today to ask if you had to be an overnight guest and the woman gave a vague answer and said to send an email to reservations at the club and they would forward to papagayo. So hopefully I will hear back soon.

We are so looking forward to being on the beach at the club during many of the days during our stay.

No, you don't have to be an overnight guest at Club Orient to go to any parties. You do, however, need to check in at the Guard shack after parking in main parking lot. Then walk in. Have fun.

We did a number of "park and walk-in's" to do the Thur eve 60's/70's event(s) in Nov. Just walked right past the guard, no problem. On one occasion the guard took us to Papagayo's on a golf cart.

You'll need a reservation if you want a seat and you want to eat. Getting to the bar/dance floor possible as is hanging outside.

"hanging outside" Maybe a better choice of words are in order. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />
