Staying overnight in St. Thomas prior to going to VG, and we are considering Olga's Fancy. Have read some mixed reviews on Olga's on Trip Advisor. We are looking for opinions from anyone on the forum with experience with this hotel. Thanks. Phlynns

LocalSailer recommended it in one of his notes. If no one here has stayed there, you might ask him more about it. To me, it looks very cute and the location would be awesome! The reviews looked pretty good to me...

They have spent a lot of energy making the rooms very nice - at least the ones I have seen - the location cannot be better - ocean view - swimming pool - walk in 2 minutes to Frenchtown restaurants -- 30 seconds to Oceana -- on site management - walk to Tortola ferry dock - I am recommending it until I hear otherwise about the condition of the facility which I visited last week and it looked clean and welcoming.

Thanks to you both. Went back to Trip advisor and read each comment rather than just scan each rating score. Two people seem to have exceedingly high expectations. Just booked it this morning.

We stayed there before remodel and it was just fine. Most likely even nicer now. Don't miss dinner at Oceana.

I second dinner at Oceana no matter where you stay!

They have pictures of the remodeled rooms on their facebook page.
