Hello all, We are heading down shortly, can't wait. I have a supply question. The four of us are taking carry-on only. We all have to do multiple flights and don't want to mess around with hoping our bags follow us. The challenge for us isn't space, it is the liquid limits. Specifically sunscreen and bug spray. At home we usually are Ombrelle and Muskoil users. My wife and I are in St Thomas for an extra day waiting for our son's arrival the next day. Question, where in St Thomas or Road Town is a good place to get a few larger bottles/spray cans of "real" sunscreen and bug spray? (I don't care what brand as long as it is legit) We are staying at Windward in St Thomas, departing from Sunsail in Road Town.
Thanks,
Brian

Catch the Dollar Bus right outside the Windward to K-Mart. They should have what you're looking for.

From Sunsail you are close to the large Riteway grocery store in Road Town. It's a 5 to 10 minute walk. I have purchased large bottles of sunscreen there. They also carry a variety of bug sprays.

I second the Riteway option. There will be nothing pleasant about your trip to KMart in CA. Trust me. You may spend just a couple of bucks more at Riteway, but it will spare you a cultural experience that is not endemic to the Caribbean.
Spend your time in STT relaxing, or exploring some of the many historic sites. Careful now, when venturing off the beaten path.

I would have guessed the K-Mart would have been like the US locations.......dirty out of stock and basically a lousy retail experience however this was not the case. I was in the St Thomas location just last week with a friend who needed a coaxial cable for a TV. It was really well stocked busy and the young man who checked us out was nice and had a sense of humor.

As mentioned the Riteway is a modern well stocked market that is a 5 minute walk from Sunsail. You will pay a bit more then St Thomas however easily worth it vice a special trip to Kmart. They also sell sunscreen at the store near the Moorings reception area.

For things like bug repellant and sun screen you will pay 2 to 3 times as much on Tortola.
