Looks like the Christmas winds came early this year

Had an absolutely beautiful day on Playa Flamenco in Culebra yesterday. Rain moved in last night and persisted thru this morning as we motored upwind to St John in light winds and 3-4' seas. Air temp was 75F, and wind chill was in the 60's. Heavy winds started at about 11 am, then quickly went calm this afternoon as skies cleared. Forecast is 15kts +/- for next week with a quick front coming thru early Wed am with some low 20 kt winds. Not to worry.

Hi Elmtone1,

very interesting. Where did you get the 25-30 kts?

We had 19 kts at maximum at about 11 am coming from south approaching Road Town ... Later in the afternoon it dropped to ~5 kts when heading to Peter Island.

We saw the same today. Planned a dive around noon and the wind came up and took out the dice site. Never saw over 20.

This from NWSPR yesterday and it was everybit of it at CGB yesterday am. I did call a friend at Nanny Cay who also said it was breezy but not howling. Maybe CGB was some kind of acceleration zone yesterday but i actaully ha a surfboard blow off my balcony

Strong winds between 25-30 mph have been reported around the island. Expect these winds to continue today. #prwx #usviwx

Strange weather this week, forecasts have not been right once! Almost dead calm today with about a 4 foot North Swell. Forecast was for 20 knots!

November in the Carribean unstable time of year waiting for the trades to show back up and bring clear stable weather patterns.
