Every year as I get ready for my annual two weeks in SXM, I wonder what restaurants closed since last year and what new ones I should look for.
I know Harbor Queen (and their excellent ribs) is gone. What other restaurants are closed and what are the new ones to visit?

Eacape is new this year and is located in Cupecoy. Food, atmosphere and service were excellent.
For details and photos search one of my recent posts.

As mentioned, Harbor Queen is opened as we ate there last week, however their baked beans are no longer available. The ribs are still tender and almost fall of the bone, but it's not quite the same as years past. One side dish with a rib plate dinner for 18.95. All you can eat ribs are $26.95.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

Doesn't sound like a very good deal anymore. There are a few rib places I like with better prices.

Mark's Place has at least 3 different options for ribs. Snack, meal and all you can eat and I am pretty sure it is less $$.
You could probably by 3 slabs or 3 meals at Captain D's for that $$.

i agree......harbor queen ribs were good....but the beans made them better. Now....too many other places for ribs for less money.....including the delicious ribs next door at Lee's. Hopefully, Lee's will remain.

I would never go to a restaurant to eat baked beans. Not my favorite side dish.

Carol If you want some REALLY good baked beans. You can order Jack's Stack baked beans on line page here There are 7 of them in KC. The one in Martin City has the best but they don't ship. But the one that does ship has VERY good baked beans. I also order some burnt ends with my bean order. Ho Ho Ho Wendell

I don't know, I've not been lucky there I guess, but we have always had lousy service at Lee's.

I would say the service at Lee's has improved over the last few years. Last March the server was the best ever. She was ahead of us with everything

Huh. OK. Been there 3 or 4 times over the years, never got what all the fuss was about, so haven't been back recently.
