This is my trip report about the nude cruise to Mardi Gras, Key West and Jamaica with BNTT from Feb 9th to 18th.
Sailed out of Tampa on Saturday. Ship was scheduled to leave at 4 but never left till at least 6 p.m. Long lines and kind of disorganized. Very surprised for Carnival cruise line.
Traveled from Tampa to Key West from Saturday till Sunday. Weather was beautiful in KW. Only had 6 hours in town. Walked the main drag and visited the local pubs. Ended up at sloppy Joes where a guy was singing and playing the piano. He was very entertaining. Lots of fun was had by all.
On Sunday we sailed from Key West to New Orleans. Full day at sea on Monday. Pretty windy on Monday and later in the afternoon as we traveled towards the states you could feel the temperature start to drop. Had to retreat out of the winds ended up being a pretty cool day, we spent most of the day inside reading and then gambling. First time I've been on a cruise when the weather was not agreeable but it was no big deal, there was plenty to do, and we kind of expected it knowing we were going to Mardi Gras in NO.
Fat Tuesday was very interesting. Docked at about 7 and we were off the ship by 8 a.m. A short walk downtown where already thousands of people were lineing up for the parades. The people, costumes and parades were unbelievable. At around 10 the parades began and were pretty constant all day. Each float tossing beads, coins, stuffed animals, even handing out coconuts which I guess was supposed to be a big deal if you got one. After hours of parade watching we took off for Bourbon Street. I thought the parade routes were crowded. Bourbon Street was jammed. We had fun walking up and down and seeing everyone partying. Actually seen a little bit of everything on Bourbon Street, had a great time. After many cocktails and so much people watching we headed back for the ship at about 7 p.m. Many passengers did not return until it was time for the ship to sail at 1a.m.
Wednesday and Thursday were sea days on our way to Jamaica. The weather warmed up about Wed. afternoon and was great all the way to Jamaica. In Jamaica they had many day trips planned and our group chose to go to Hedo 3. Quite the experiance at Hedo. Party, party, party. Little to wild for my wife and I and we decided we were happy to see only for a day. Our opinion was we would not want to spend a week there and that St. Maarteen was our kind of land vacation. Just our opinion !!!!
This was our 5th cruise with BNTT, all in all it was a great cruise. BNTT does a great job of organizing and keeping things under control. They really tried to keep a good temperature on the ship for 1500 nudists. The staff on Carnival was helpful and friendly. We always had fresh towels to sit on for all the shows and around the pool. Food was good. Our attitude is how can it be bad. If you don't like it send it back and get something else. The shows were entertaining. They had a great sing a long piano bar and we danced at least every other night in the lounge or disco. Can't really think of anything negative to say about anything, except I lost in the casino.
Will we do again, probably, it is the only way to cruise. Every year BNTT comes up with a new itinerary which seems interesting. Next year its the Mexican Riviera for 9 days out of California. The ship is Carnival Ectasy (I think), larger than the jubilee is supposed to hold 2000 passengers. If anyone has any questions about anything feel free to drop me a line.

KEVSUZ
