Regarding rumors, I think they are talking about the flap over the border between the Dutch and French side. As far as I know, that has not yet been resolved. My understanding is that the bar and restaurant were not ever closed, but that there was some renovation work being done in the marina area which work was closed down by the gendarmes. I posted a link to the DH story here a few days ago.

All you say is correct Carol, but while we on a day sail on Monday, someone on the boat told me he thought they were closed because of the article in the Herald saying the police had put up barricade. This had been misinterpreted as "being closed" and he was telling all of his clients this. We assured him it was open as we have been there a couple of times since we arrived.
