Hard to find any information about staying at the RI and using the Sonesta facilities so I posted some observations from our stay at the Royal Islander at Sonesta Great Bay last week for anyone considering going there. Great adults-only spot a short drive from the busier Simpson Bay and within walking distance of town. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g1..._St_Martin.html

I'm still kind of confused--there is a Royal Islander building at Great Bay?

There is a building at Sonesta Great Bay that is timeshares and we looked into staying there a few years ago with an RCI exchange. We chose not to stay there because we didn't care for the location and the optional all-inclusive fee for RCI exchange guests was expensive. I don't know the history of the Great Bay property but I'm guessing based on the name that the timeshare building was or still is affiliated with the Royal Islander resorts in Maho. According to the website below, there are 16 timeshare units at Great Bay. http://www.royalislandergreatbay.com/
