Will be in St Martin in Feb. Anyone know of a small Mom and Pop style hotel? Don't really care for the large resorts. Thx. Bill

Look at Mary's Boon and the Horny Toad as potential choices.

While I would agree with those two choices, Horny Toad is usually booked during high season.
Turquoise Shell is another option.

Azure would be another choice as well.

I think The Summit is the best choice by far. They treat you like you are family.

La Vista isn't a hotel, but a very small timeshare resort which gives you the best of both worlds. I'm not sure about availability in February, but it's worth a try. Here's a link to their web page

Another good choice. I enjoyed it the 2-3 times I stayed there.

There really are very few large resorts in SXM. What part of the island are you looking for? Your note says "St. Martin", which implies French side... What amenities are you looking for? What is your budget?

We've never been there, but we have friends we meet every year who like Dove's Net, Grand Case, French side. IMHO, many of the better places will already be booked for Feb next year. Best of luck!

I'm not sure exactly what they mean by 'mom and pop', but the Dove's Nest is certainly a family owned and run place, and very well could meet the OP's requirements. It's a small place though, and as you said, may already be sold out, as they have a huge return business.

Mary's Boon or Horney Toad. To us Mary's Boon is the best as its has real hotel services , bar, restaurant, great staff and wonderful beach. We have tried them all over the past 20 years. Its hard to get in past Christmas to Easter on a lot of dates but give them a try maybe.

Les Balcons in Oyster Pond. Not "mom & pop", rather husband & wife. Nice rooms, big balconies with view, reasonably priced. www.lesbalcons.com
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Le Petite Hotel right on the beach in Grand Case on the French side. Charming and intimate and close to many great restaurants.

Love Hotel Grand Case has less than 10 rooms I believe. Right on the beach.
