long story about Jet Blue and Sea borne Airlines booked to Sxm back in May and ORBITZ calls today to say that we must reschedule to a day later at no cost to us because a WHOLE LIST OF LIES... so we call everybody and in the coarse of 4 hours and it ends up that there was not quite enough time to change in SJU they did offer us $23.00 for our hassle told them to stuff it. so we will be 24 hours late getting to favorite island and lost a couple hundred in lost hotel stay but life is good....woke up with a pulse

When are you scheduled to fly? I assume it's very soon?? Because if you could book on another airline--for a reasonable price--you could require them to give ALL your money back, with no penalty.

Always book directly with the airline and/or hotel. Bummer about the delay; too bad it wasn't the return trip!

Seaborne is trying to expand, but the timing and frequency of their flights to/from SJU preclude us from using them. We'd like to connect with them from a SWA flight from BWI, but the timing is off.

They were doing a codeshare with Jet Blue and possibly some other airlines, from SJU to SXM. Not sure whether they are still selling code share flights or not.

Sorry for your hassle.
Orbitz, expedia, trivago, etc. are worthless when it comes to rebooking, which is an inevitability. Always book with an airline, hotel or train direct whenever possible. Your outcome will likely be way less frustrating and options greater.

agreed, shop the travel websites and then go to the airline and book directly. Same with hotels, they will almost always price match with much better cancellation rules

We've found it cheaper and more reliable to fly out of JFK. The two hour drive kinda sux, but the direct flight more than makes up for it.
