Hello, I am hoping to send a cake to a friend who lives in sxm for his birthday. I tried googling cake delivery but I only came up with companies charging upwards of $75. Any suggestions for a more affordable solution? This young man works at the Simpson Bay Resort & Marina, it would be sent there. Thank you.

Try one of the sponsors, shop 'n' drop, as Jeannie has a great service and she does have cakes!

I was going to suggest that, Sammy, until I remembered there's a $100 minimum.

Try taste factory website. They are in Simpson Bay and have a good selection. On their web site there is a place where you can order what you want and give them additional info--not sure if they will deliver, but they do catering so I would guess so.

Hi Kelly, I have them on my website a few options https://www.shopndropgrocerysxm.com/Cakes_c_88.htmlCheck them out. Normally there is a minimum to place an order however since this is a special request for someone who lives here and it is always my pleasure to be an island ambassador you do not have to meet the minimum and it will be my pleasure to take care of it for you. Email me at jeannie@shopndropgrocerysxm.com and I will try and be of assistance. Thanks Jeannie

You know, you're absolutely right - she does! And I hope I don't sound surprised since I've used her a couple of times a year since she first started her business and I've always found Jeannie goes the extra mile routinely, and if there are special needs, she goes even further and works even harder to make certain her service is perfect.
She truly is the best of the best, IMHO, <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Thank you guys as usual believing and supporting me... Life is too short to just focus about money... Yes I run a business and yes I need to remain profitable ... but sometimes I need to bend the rules… plain and simple for special occasions and special circumstances.

So I have to share the happy ending in the quest to deliver a cake to a friend who lives on island... Jeannie, of ShopnDrop fame, kindly offered to waive the minimum order so that I could order a cake through her company. But way above and beyond that, she took so much time out of her day to deliver it directly to my friend (there was a bit of a mix up at the SBR - long story). She even snapped a pic of his delighted face and sent it to me. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all she did to make this happen, but those of you on this forum who know her already know what a good hearted person she is! Thank you Jeannie, and thanks TTOL!
