What a great week!!
Flew ONT (CA) HUS-PR-STT aboard Continental with the final leg being Cape Air, uneventful and everything on-time, settled into Emerald Beach Best Western for the night and ferried over to West End Sunday morning.
Day 1: The real fun started when Mal picked me up at the ferry, Tom and I spend the day prepping Sanctuary and tending to several items that needed attention then finally sailed off to CGB for the Elm BBQ and enjoyed music with Steve and Georgie, The Elmtones…wonderful evening joined by Candace and Mal. Loved the Monkey Man song….they improvised with Malcolm’s a Monkey Man!!!
Day 2: Settled in for a nice rest at CGB and awoke to some rain and a beautiful morning, off to Apple Bay to pick up GlennA.
Anchored in Apple Bay while watching surfers on the break parallel to our anchor set, some nice surf action. First dinghy approach, Tom and I anchored the dink outside the shore pound and swam in to enjoy a few cold ones with Candace and Mal then back to CRC for more of the same.
Took Tom back to Sanctuary and returned landing the dink on the beach this time.
Mal and I went to fetch Glenn at the ferry terminal and returned for a fantastic spaghetti dinner prepared by Candace.
The trip back to Sanctuary to fetch Tom, Glenn’s Scotch and Soda was more than a bit hairy, took a huge wave over the bow and hung on tight to avoid flipping the dink on the beach.

Anchored in front of Neptune’s and finished the day with a great seafood dinner at Neptune’s Treasure.
Day 4: Load up all the new wifi gear and head into breakfast at Neptune’s very nice indeed. Glenn went to work on installing the new wifi antenna while Tom and I added un needed technical supervision and heckling.
Glenn had everything set up and ready, just had to wait for a new modem coming in on the afternoon ferry, so off to Cow Wreck for lunch and chilling, the burgers, wings and cold ones were great and very much enjoyed hanging with Alex.
Dinner at Neptune’s again, the orange Ginger Chicken was my choice this time and quite tasty!!! Dinked over to Potters after dinner to visit with Potter, Vishall and the Utopia crew, great times and more rum!!!

Nice welcome from Nick and Monica, spent the afternoon with a makeshift “dock Party” with Nick, set a little table in the shade and consumed mass quantities of cold ones while taking breaks assisting arriving and departing yachts and also unloading the provisions barge, great fun indeed!!
Retired to the Jumbies Bar and later enjoyed some pizza before calling it a night.
Day 6: A slow downwind sail through the Anguilla Cut and on to CGB to pick up Manpot, proceeded directly to White Bay for Bushwhackers at One Love then stumble down the beach to Soggy Dollar Bar where the crews of Utopia and Blue Moon shared some fun with us. Around the point to Great Harbor and set the hook, had some cold ones at Foxy’s then a big gang headed to Corsairs for dinner, the usual suspects listed above, joined by Nick and Monica from Leverick Bay and Mustang Sally’s Doug and Wendy……Great times but think the just opening kitchen was not quite up to full speed for the season yet, Vinny was a gracious host, he and the Staff tolerated our rowdy group of scoundrels. Back to Foxy’s and registered for the Cat Fight, I got the starting position I was after, #5 and the race packet.
