Are there several places that offer free Wifi? Unfortunately I will have to do some work while we are gone.

A lot of places have free wifi, if you are eating there, etc. Where are you staying? Do you know that you won't have it at your hotel or wherever?

trish97 said: Do they charge for it? That depends if you are an owner or are there on Diamond Points which it will be free. If you are an II, RCI trade or renting directly from the Resort than you will be charged a mandatory $10 resort fee a day which will include the wifi whether you use it or not.

So, in other words, either you get it free, or you have to pay a mandatory resort fee, which includes wifi. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />

Cappuccino on Welfare rd has free wifi. I would order a coffee and danish just to do it right.

I'ts the same at the Flamingo too. I figure it's built into our Maintenance fees which are, as you know, higher than most on island.

Same at Simpson Bay...included in the AMF. I won't brag about the quality of the wifi but the price is right. If you want faster plug in wired internet that's also available for a fee.

What I don't like about Simpson Bay is the crap internet is free and you can upcharge the internet package to a faster speed. This is a very sleazy business practice. We rented a router from the Business Point so we could comfortably use the internet with reasonable speed

Don't know about 'sleazy', it seems it's pretty common, that you get what you pay for..

I prior years, I agree it was really slow. They redid the whole system and this past March the free WiFi was almost a fast as home.

nothing even close to home, whatsmyspeed.com never got beyond 3Mb, we get over 60mb at home. My iPhone with a 3G sim card was way faster than SBM
