In the evenings we prefer to eat somewhere within walking distance of the resort since we will be having drinks with our meal. Any recommendations?

Skipjacks and Lee's are just across the street and have good food at moderate prices. Love lee's ribs, Lobster and fish While Skipjacks has some of the best Ahi and live lobsters.

There are a TON of places close to RP. The Yacht Club has great happy hours, Skipjacks has great seafood, and if you like German food, Bavaria is right at the corner. The Greenhouse is also pretty close, with 2 for 1 drinks, reduced price appetizers, and a good selection of sandwiches and meals. Captain D's also has great carryout ribs and chicken, etc., right there by RP. Lots and lots very close. I'm sure I have missed a bunch of great places. Enjoy!

If you like Lebanese food Byblos is nearby, and Crave has Persian food. The Palms is across the bridge but still within walking distance; they've been voted Best Local Food several times. Also, across the road from RP is Avantika, an excellent Thai restaurant.

And Marty's, right next to Topper's. (Marty will tell you that Topper's is next to him, as Marty's been there longer, lol).

Harbor Queen! I was having a senior moment and couldn't remember the name. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" /> GREAT ribs and BBQ beans!

Pizza Galley and The Dock Bar are directly across the street. Also like Yacht Club, Toppers, Vesna Taverna, BBB, Byblos, Greenhouse - and many other places within walking distance. So many great choices!
Thanks...Cathy

Ummm...kinda. Not that easy to find a space or get back out of that lot but you can give it a go.
If you don't mind walking along Kim Sha beach there is parking across from Skipjacks (next to RP)

We'll walk down to The Palms. Great place. Very friendly. Good food.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

Yup, we are usually early eaters so if we are walking that beach it's just before sunset...

We walk all the way from RP to the Greenhouse/BBB on the beach after night at Regatta, but only in groups.

More than kinda. Consider the limited parking by most restaurants I consider BBB to have quite a few spots. We have had few issues for the last 14 years finding a spot.

I would agree. The parking for BBB is better than the Greenhouse and the GH has more seats, I think.

The Greenhouse has two levels of parking. I guess not everyone is aware of that. Only a few places on the street level across from the restaurant, but up the hill there is a whole second level of parking.

Well, yes, I was aware of that, but I still think that BBB has more spots, and the parking 'up the hill' is pretty difficult to get into, etc.

Also aware of the second level as we've hosted parties at Greenhouse. Parking is more challenging between the short steep hill you need to walk up/down and I believe the paved lot is a bit broken up and uneven. You definitely have to watch your footing.

Not by us, sorry - I did my time. Over the years I believe we hosted at least 6 parties so we are done hosting.

Awww Damn! I missed all those parties. Now I am feeling very sad because I never got to attend any of the parties. Doesn't someone want to host a party to lift my spirits?
