Big winds just started. Lights are starting to flicker on Pelican Key. Just expected a lot of rain.

Been through a lot worse. Rain, but winds are minimum. Typical flooding in streets. Loaded up at Carl & Sons and just returned from restaurant supply store. Hoping for weather to clear by dinner tonight, or will not be traveling far to eat out.

Wow. The rocks are sure showing on the Maho cam. Will the sand ever come back. Been that way for a long time now.

Just looked at both webcams. Hope if you're on island you stocked up on booze and snacks to hunker down.

I've just been watching for about 10 minutes, so don't know. There wouldn't normally be anything big leaving, except for the morning AA flight. Small planes, I would think, no.

We just posted it on facebook pages "pirates of SXM" and "SXM or bust" (Jim Haughton) Might try that. I'll do another video in a bit conditions to be getting a bit worse. Island 92 is saying they think it will move off by about 6pm.

Ah good! Getting a little worse. Right now max sustained winds 35mph with 58 mph gusts. Supposed to subside by 5pm.

Right now it has calmed down in our area of Beacon Hill. The rain has stopped and the flights are flying in and out normal. No need to panic. At least one of our tall Palm leaves were blown off, thanks for that will have the Gardener clear them up. And the Sun is shining a bit. Cool.

Yes , we just got back from Town and most of the businesses has closed for the rest of the day. But weather has cleared up quite a bit; but we will have lot of rain this evening. Well good for the plants and the greenery around the Island.
