Just to keep the discussion real the boat in the test had some serious ground tackle not normally found on a charter boat. Charter boats larger and with more windage typical will have a 40 or 55lb Delta and smaller chain.

The less than fully co-ordinated crew can also make good YouTube and damage relationships in the morning after unraveling process. Putting two anchors down is a practiced ballet. Well executed retrieval is an act of multiskilled co-ordination. Sometime it is best to use the dinghy and a float to just let one go until the primary chain anchor is back on the boat. The key no matter what path is taken. Is for everyone involved to fully understand the steps that your crew will take to get both of the anchors safely put away.
