Hi TTOL Friends [Linked Image][Linked Image]

We’re back!

What a wonderful trip.
No tan lines! For both of us! That brings a great big [Linked Image]!
Great food! [Linked Image]
Wonderful Friends! [Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]
Times to refresh and renew the soul![Linked Image][Linked Image]

We walked the beach two times a day most days, even when the boat people were crawling all over the place. Double rainbows after the showers were a delight! Got an interesting new hat one day… that is a long story but we had so much fun!

I swam to Green Cay from Orient Beach, saw some wonderful sea life snorkeling.

The TTOL flag on Orient Beach attracted many to our party at Peg Leg. This is a terrific way to start a trip! Dr. Ed, Dar& Bill, Butch & Kelly, Mike B & Linda, Susan & Terry, Philly & Bill, Del & Ray to name some who showed up at the flag asking for directions, not all made it that night but that was their loss! Ask Butch how he found us the day I forgot to fly the flag! It is a hoot to hear him tell the story. The flag itself got put away after about day 5, just too many interruptions from my QNT with people asking what the flag meant. But I am so glad that we flew it for a while, otherwise we would have missed meeting some of the nicest people!

Sean and Neil and Valarie took great care of us at Peg Leg and several of us returned for other meals!. The onion soup and fish and chips were to die for! Never made it over to Banana’s because it was too good right there![Linked Image] Sorry Dale! Next time I promise!

Great Tiko Tiko Trip with some wonderful new friends… Philly & Bill, Susan & Terry, Kevin & Suzie, Butch & Kelly … Made a couple new “nako’ converts! … Bravo my friends! You know who you are… Still working on a couple more who are still a little bit shy. Philippe and his new assistant Veronique were great hosts. The meal was delicious as were the abundant sea breezes! The big catamaran full of boat people were fun to watch, especially as they tried not to gape too much at our “nako” group of people floating around sampling Carib’s and rum punch. We gave the term of a “full moon party” a whole new meaning! The mud bath was certainly a highlight. We met two wonderful couples from other boats who came over to find out how come we were having so much fun… I know we will be seeing some of them again next year at this time… It is such a delight watching people open up to their inner beauty and discover how to play again in their bodies as our Creator intended us to be.

Interesting trip to Anguilla. The CuisinArt Resort was breathtaking! We hired a driver, name escapes me right now and he gave us a great tour of the island where several of his children work at the various resort. His daughter works as pastry Chef at CuisinArt. We ate at Uncle Ernies on Shoal Bay and then returned for the late afternoon swim with the Dolphins. This is a great time of day to do it. We had two dolphins, two trainers and just the two of us for the hour swim time with them. Earlier in the day when the cruise ship tour was there it was 1 dolphin to 5 swimmers … so we got some special private time with those wonderful creatures. Looking into their eyes, hearing them chirp and having them nudge your hand as they checked you out was just awesome. Words are hard to express the encounter at that level, they are much more than trained animals in a zoo and the encounter was only disappointing in that you could see that we were just beginning to become acquainted. .

Some great meals at the Marina in Marigot. BLDG was good as the place next door {La place de la Main?}. We met Doug and Susan and Janice and Larry for a great meal there. … The ChiChi’s were flowing and “WE BE THRISTY” will be a line that brings a great smile! Le California with the owner Terri was wonderful as always. Breakfasts with Phillipe and William at the Village Baker were the delightful start of several of our days. They have closed their branch store in the Maho area by the Casino, one of the many casualties of 9/11, but their food is still some of the best baked goods on the island and they are becoming good friends. Breakkfast at Zee Best was wonderful too those days when we were in Marigot. Tried to track down Alana, but did not find her at Ms. B’s . The food is still great but it appears that she has staff taking care of the place most of the time. Never did get to Baywatch this year, nor down to Bikini Beach, but as Kevin and Susie said, gives me an excuse to have to go back !

Spent one tremendously beautiful day at Happy Bay. Words are hard to express what it was like. The company was wonderful… The beauty sublime. The phrase "it can't get much better than this" was heard several times. It will be a day that I shall treasure for a long time!

We had some great days at Baie Rouge when the wind was too strong on Orient. Chichi’s on the beach from Gus’s and the three guys talking with Regina are highlights from those days!

The Club Orient staff took very good care of us! I misplaced a small zip-lock bag of clothes in our first unit and went to the office one day and asked after we had moved to our Timeshare swap at The Pelican. They said they would check. Then we met the couple who moved in after us and they said they looked and found nothing. I asked again when we returned for our last few days and they still had not found it, so I gave up… Imagine our surprise one night after a day on Baie Rouge to return to our new unit and find that the maid had left us the bag with all the clothes on our table. She knew we were returning and saved it in her cubbie waiting for our arrival! Laura at Papagayo was so friendly and the security people all made us feel welcome!

The neighbors around us at Club O all were so friendly. I wish I could say the same thing about the folks who were around us at The Pelican. People there barely spoke with one another . That is one of the reasons I have come to love naturists so! Regina's new dress was the hit of the Wine and Cheese Party where we met many new friends. They made us feel like we have been going there all our lives. This was only our first stay at Club Orient itself, but it definitely will not be our last!

It was hard to say good-bye to everybody as each person had to leave. Dinner at Lees and then dancing and drinks at Sopranos were a great way to bid farewell to our St. Elsewhere! We just love our SXM friends!

[color:blue]David & Regina

Edited by Administrator on 1/22/02 03:57 PM.
