This morning I booked our tickets on Delta direct flight round trip fMinneapolis - SXM for $ 590 pp. Week 51 at Towers, December 17-24, 2016. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> hope someone else can take advantage of this deal too.
There is no place like SXM.

According to the Delta website, the flight is 5h 18m. 10:00 departure and 5:18 arrival when allowing for time zone differences.

Direct or non stop? Many people say 'direct' when they mean 'non stop', but as far as I know, there is not a non stop from Minneapolis?

I found it odd also but according to the Delta website, it is listed as nonstop. Flight DL 525 on a Boeing 757.

Looks like non-stop. MSP also has seasonal non-stop flights to SXM on Sun Country, but right now SC online booking system is unreliable. Non stop flights are under 6 hrs.
There is no place like SXM.

Delta started seasonal service from MSP to SXM in February of 2015. It flies only on Saturdays.

That is a really good price from Delta. We have been flying SunCountry nonstop from MSP to SXM for over 10 years!

Both
Delta and Sun Country have direct flights from msp. Sun Country starts service in late December and runs thru April I think. Not sure about Delta schedule. Both Fly on Saturdays. Both had attractive fairs in Jan but it varies week by week. Went up on both after Jan. We just got a good deal on Sun Country for Jan 21 2017, 590. I've never booked this early before. I really like direct flights in the winter.

We use both carriers as well, going non-stop makes the return to MN a little more bearable. Free check in lagguage is a plus.
There is no place like SXM.
