Has anyone flown on a flight from SJU to SXM lately? As far as I know, the only choices are like Seabourne and Liat or possibly Winair?? I don't really need a lecture about how bad Allegiant is, but they just announced that they will be flying from Orlando Sanford to Puerto Rico for prices that equate to around $150 round trip, which could make for a really cheap flight to SXM. We have zero experience with Seabourne, very little with Liat, which I know is horrible, in general. Not sure that there are any other choices?

Would that be any cheaper than just using Spirit from FLL? I looked a couple of sju-sxm dates and the cheapest were around $300 r/t...(WinAir/Seabourne)
Less chance of a mess up by avoiding a change in airline and another stop

Total cost would be more than Spirit, yes. But Allegiant at least will be flying 4 days a week, versus 1 day a week on Spirit. And Sanford is an hour and a half closer to our house. Didn't realize that SJU-SXM would be $300 r/t though. If that's what it runs, then it wouldn't be that much cheaper than just paying $600 for nonstop on AA from Miami...

We checked it out as we've always flown to San Juan and then the next morning, flown to SXM but this year the cost was prohibitive so we just flew to CLT to SXM

I flew Seabourne to/from PR from SXM and I remember that they charged for my suitcase which I had not been aware of...so it actually made my flight more expensive than the other airline (but I can't remember what other airline was the option - this was 2 years ago though)

Round trip or each way?? How was the flight? What are their baggage rules?
