CRANBERRY PIE

12 oz. bag cranberries
3/4 c. sugar
3 TB. flour
1/4 c. molasses
pie crust for top and bottom

Mix sugar and flour. Put half in bottom of crust. Pour boiling water over cranberries and drain. Put drained berries in crust. Sprinkle on rest of sugar mixture. Drizzle with molasses. Put on top crust (lattice is nice if you like). Seal edges and make some cut-outs in top crust if it's not a lattice crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 - 60 minutes.

If you’re making your own crust, a little bacon fat in place of some of the shortening gives it a wonderful flavor. Also, one year my son made this pie, and forgot the molasses, and the pie was wonderful without it, too!
