We've been enjoying our two week stay but have yet to see Fig open. I may have missed a post or two. Internet at Divi has been very spotty at best. I asked the guard at casino royale and he said they closed last week, not sure why. Does anyone know if they are on holiday or have closed permanently?

Their Facebook page says they are closed for vacation and will reopen July 28th.

Thanks for the info! After reading all the good reviews we wanted to check it out. We may have to save it for next trip.

We had dinner at Fig recently and did not enjoy their new location. For us it was a little too much like being in LasVegas. Food and service were "ok", just not where we want to spend an evening.

I'm confused, as I thought the new location was on the lagoon. What gave it the Vegas feel?

Food and service were "ok", just not where we want to spend an evening. We were there back in April and had a very nice dining experience, good food and good service but it did lack the more intimate and personal feel of the original location. The entire Maho complex might give some a more 'Vegas-like' feel although I have to say, we didn't have that take-away. We don't head in that direction most nights but will make the exception for a few venues, FIG definitely being one of them, along with Le Moulin Fou, LaRosa, Too and Bajatzu. But as is so often said, that's why they make vanilla and chocolate.
Respectfully,

GaKaye, Unless FIG has relocated again since April, which I don't think is the case, it is on the second floor in the general location of La Terrasse in Maho. It also overlooks and is on the same side as Casino Royale. We parked in the carpark under LT and took the elevator straight up to FIG on the second floor. It's not fancy schmancy IMO, but it's a huge step up from Cheri's and Pizza Pasta, the latter of which we also enjoy.

Pat, you are absolutely correct. I knew something had relocated into the old Cafe by the Bay location, and recall now that it's The Stone. Mea culpa!

I actually did very much enjoy the new location. As Pat said, different strokes!

Facing Casino Royale from the street, you have Cheri's on the left of it and Fig on the right.
