Since Jake's in Simpson Bay is long gone, does anyone know of another place on the Dutch side to get dry cleaning done?

Todd used a service last year that actually picked up and delivered. I'm not sure if he was pleased with it, but hopefully he'll see this and respond.

Laundry just down from Sunny Foods outside Philipsburg.
Dry Cleaning? I have seen locals drop off suits and the like there but I am not sure if it qualifies as dry cleaning.

We go to SUPER CLEANERS which is across the road from MOTOR WORLD . they are very very good and extremely customer friendly. Their prices are good and very speedy as to getting your dry cleaning done. They are just as advertised. SUPER CLEANERS.......

If I was on island for an extended time I would use dry cleaning. Cuts down on packing and can't wash silk shirts.

SUPER CLEANERS do our bed comforters as well as my silk shirts etc. The work they do is excellent and as I said before extremely reasonable and the wait time is within a few days. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

We use the laundry in Cole Bay on the right side when going from Simpson Bay to Phillipsburg. They are great, charge by the lb. Not sure of the name, it may be the same one already mentioned.

I think you are talking about SUPER CLEANERS.
AS FOR WASHING SILK INSTEAD OF DRY CLEANING; Super Cleaners did wash my silk Tommy Bahama shirt and it came out fantastic. I don't know what they washed it in but I had bad stains on it when I brought it to them. They said dry cleaning wouldn't get the stains out and they said we can with washing it. It worked and my shirt looked like new.
Also we have a cat and she gets eye stains on our bedspread. Super Cleaners gets all the stains out and our bedspreads look like new when we get them back. They charged us $15 for 1 King Sized Bedspread and $ 25 when they cleaned 2 King Sized Bedspreads for us.
