Good morning! We are thinking about a one week trip to Aruba then flying directly to St. Martin for another 10 days. We have been regulars to St. Martin for 15 years and want to try something different. I know topless and clothing option are not "legal" in Aruba but are there any beaches/resorts you can recommend that tolerate topless? Also, what airline serves Aruba to St. Martin?

I would think Insel would be your best choice probably with a stop in Curacao or Dominican Republic

You might check out Manchebo Beach Resort for topless. We stayed there for our honeymoon and several times after that---although it has been several years since we stayed there. As of the last time we stayed there, they accepted topless. Not sure about now. Don't know about the airline question.

LINK ===================== Renaissance Aruba offers a private island with legal topless beach, also a family beach included for guests, a short 10 minute boat ride is also provided. They have two properties - a hotel for adults only and a timeshare about a block apart.

I remember in the old days, they used to have a nude beach there. Do you know whether Manchebo still allows topless or not?

Carol - the beach is very wide and spread out in front of Manchebo - some do go top less and the resort "looks the other way" not legal though but tolerated. Also some other very remote beaches you will see topless, but I don't recall any nudity anywhere and we have visited since 1993

OK, that had been the traditional topless use at Manchebo. They have a large European clientele, so glad to hear the topless use has continued. HUGE beach there, for sure. As far as nude on Aruba, there was nude use of the private island way back when. Not sure what it was called back then. We honeymooned at Manchebo in 1979..

I was in Aruba 3 weeks ago and there were a few topless ladies on the La Cabana end of Eagle beach.

Eagle Beach is where Manchebo is located. Can't remember where LaCabana is, in relation to Manchebo.

It's at the other end of Eagle beach, closer to the "high rises". Although Manchebo has always had topless in our 20 years of visits we had a shortened trip this year and didn't make it there so I can't confirm it still does.
