Its been ten yrs. since we were last in Leverick Bay. Do they still have that little market? Does anyone know what time it closes? We will not be getting to VG until after 5 and would like to pick up a few things for breakfast. Is the variety of meats gotten any better and the overall grocery experience there? I remember the market at the yacht harbor as the best?

Don't know the hour's but the market is still there, and very upscale now. If you want a gourmet wine with breakfast, you are in luck. A wide variety of gourmet cheese's...I had to drag my wife away before she bankrupted us. So yes, they have the essentials, and then some. Contact Nick with a message at this web page and he can give you the hour's. Sigh! I wish I were there right now... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

Yes it's still there and quite amply stocked. The hours are 7am-7pm. We were there 3 days ago.

That would be Buck's and they have another store at Gun Creek although not as big. The market at Leverick is great for basics and is very convenient. Prices are very comparable.

Pretty sure they don't open at 7:00, more like 8 or 9.

From the Leverick Bay website:
Chefs Pantry Supermarket /Deli Store hours are 8:00 am -5:50 pm, unless otherwise stated. Convenient grocery shopping for just about anything. This is truly one of the better grocery stores you will find on Virgin Gorda.
Phone: 1 (284) 340-3005
We have always been very pleased with the selection and quality of goods, including fish and meat.

Take my word for it.. 7 am to 7 pm.
We were just there purchasing breakfast items only 3 days ago. The sign on the door states 7 am-7 pm. I believe the website needs updating.

The lady who runs it often makes fresh samosas daily..served up hot with Tamarind sauce..wonderful. I do find their wine prices pretty high so best not to run too low before you get there..
