Looking at the Maho Beach Webcam this morning and it appears a small twin engine plane has skidded off the runway into the grass. Maybe a nose gear failure. Fire and ambulance crews on scene. The occupants were taken away on strechers. Hopefully no serious injuries.

Since the drill was scheduled for 9 to 11 am today, I'm thinking it's probably the drill.
