We have two sets of parents coming in to charter a few days with us at different times and we are picking them up in St. John. The boat is registered in St. Thomas. Plan is as follows: Pick up first set of parents at Cruz Bay dock. Sail over to Jost and check in and out of BVI at same time. Return to St. John 4 days later and check into St. John and reprovision. Pick up second set of parents and sail back to BVIs and check in again with this set of parents. My question is this: With the second set of parents, can we go into Jost and check them in and out 3 days later but check us out 8 days later because when we return them to the Cruz Bay dock three days later it would be nice to just drop them off by dinghy and not go ashore and have them check into St. John by themselves but we can stay on the boat and return to the BVI for several more days without having to check into St. John and then go back to the BVI a third time and check in and out again. Kinda crazy huh? I know some people will say hang around St. John and I agree it is beautiful but for our parents it is their first time sailing and we would like to be able to have them see the BVI a bit, and eat out for some of their dinners. Any clarification on customs? Thanks!

Hadn't seen Hillside's reply. gmta ..or twisted ones ..nt sure. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> If your desire is to get them around the BVIs, why not have them meet you in West End ? Send them on the ferry from west end. If they are then staying longer on St. John there are 3 or four ferrys a day..if going home through st Thomas they can ferry direct. Unless you enjoy the clearing process Or wanted to spend some days around St. John, I never understand why one would want to sail to pick up and deliver folks from St. John. They had to take a ferry to get to St. John ..quite easy to pick up a ball in Sopers have a beverage at the fish and lime watching for their ferry, meet em outside of customs..go to de boat.
