A couple of questions for the Beachside Villas people.
1) Are there room safes?
2) We have friend staying with us in a 2 bedroom unit. Is there enough parking to accommodate both of our cars?

Regards,

David

Yes and yes! Safes are combination lock. We rarely have anyone in the second bedroom, but I think there is a safe in both bedrooms. Plenty of parking at BSV.. Enjoy!

Ditto on all of the above. A trip report, regardless of style and content, is always a gift. TY in advance.

And one word of caution regarding Beachside Villas - this is a place which can truly get under your skin and keep you coming back, for sure.

Ask them to give you the gate keypad instructions before you arrive.

We were stuck outside for 10-15 minutes when we arrived last week. No one was in th office at the time. No one answered the phone either. Finally, Nicholas saw us and let us in. He said the manager not around at the moment. He got another staff member to get us in th villa. Nice to be able to get in and start to unpack after traveling.

Another tip. Don't overload the safe . My wife put too much inside. That put some pressure on the door. It would not one electronically. The manager was able to open it manually with th key.

We enjoyed our stay there very much. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms clean. We will be back. 😀

Glad you enjoyed your stay.

We are currently enjoying our first time staying at BSV and we're on the deck having cocktails as I type this response! We usually stay on the French side, but this time we're doing a week on both sides. We really like it here, but the fact that only the bedrooms are air conditioned takes a little getting used to. We spend a lot of time on the covered deck which is nice with a breeze. As for parking, there seems to be enough to go around, but the hotel appears to have some vacancies at the moment. And yes, there is a safe in both bedrooms.

Thank you for the info. We are jealous! I bet your cocktails somehow taste better than the one we are having here in New Jersey.
Have a great time.

I try to make sure everyone knows there is no a/c in the main room. Electric is VERY expensive on SXM. If there were a/c in the main room, the price would have to be much higher, I would say probably $50 a night. If you figure in the amount of space you get at BSV in the summer, it's quite a bargain. Winter prices to me are a bit high, so we rarely go there in winter.

Carol,
I agree with you wholeheartedly. We knew about the a/c when we booked BSV thanks to your posts. It was still an adjustment albeit a minor one. You're right the units are big and spacious and we are enjoying our stay here. We don't stay indoors during the day much anyway. The only time we missed a/c in the kitchen was when we cooked our first big dinner last night. Otherwise, we normally go out for dinner anyway so a/c in kitchen/dining area is no big deal. Just loving the a/c in the bedroom for sleeping!

Yes, if you cook in for dinner, especially using the oven, it can get warm. I get the impression that most people never use the oven though. One of our first trips, we couldn't figure out how to light the oven, and we asked one of the workers how to light the oven and he said that no one ever uses the oven! As far as the bedroom, no WAY I stay somewhere that doesn't have a/c in the bedroom!!! I have to be cool at night!

I'm so envious of you right now! Wish I was there!!!!

Carol,
Actually, we're here because of you. If I hadn't read your posts about this place, I'm not sure we would have ever found it!
Thanks,

Paul--It doesn't really matter whether they appreciate me or not, but I truly love Beachside, so I want to share my best place in the world to stay... I think most people who have stayed there and truly GET it, feel the same...
