We are doing our third charter on July 10. In the past we have always started in St. Thomas but this time our captain is picking us up in VG. What I need help with is our loose itinerary. We will have our two boys, 8 and 11, and my dad who is paralyzed on his right side. We are chartering for 5 nights which I know is not enough time but we had to make some adjustments. We've been to Anageda once and are thinking of heading there first but am open to anything. We have three musts - B-line bar, Cooper island and the sandy spit. We have no desire to go to White Bay anymore. So what should we plan for?

Are you ending your charter in VG too? That makes a big difference..

Don't know the reason you want particularly to go to B-Line, but you might consider instead Foxy's Taboo..in Diamond Cay near Sandy Spit, especially if like later this week there is a North swell. Rather unusual this time of year, but I'm sure the younger crew would enjoy the Bubbly Pool with the swell. It's a short hike from Foxys Taboo. The food is really good, killer fish dishes and pizza, nice staff, reasonable drinks, great breeze. It provides a great spot for those not wanting to hike to the Bubbly Pool to hang out. Now if no north swell the pool and the trail up to a great lookout spot for photos will still be there but not bubbling. smile. Enjoy your trip !

Manpot - we are ending in St. Thomas so any suggestions would be great.

Will - We have never been to Foxy's or the Bubbly pool. Do you use the dingy or is there a dock?

njchilds --- there is a dock at Foxy's Taboo where you can tie up your dinghy. You can then walk to the Bubbly Pool down the path that is easy to follow.

You can also take your dinghy over to B-Line if you so choose.

njchilds - Foxy's Taboo and B-Line are so close to each other, you can do both if you like and take in the Bubbly Pool.
Bubbly Pool might be a bust if there is not much of a north swell, I've been fortunate to visit the Bubbly Pool at high tide and with a decent north swell.

So we are definitely in for Foxy's Taboo and the B-line. If we leave from Spanishtown and want to get to Foxy's Taboo, but also want to get over to Cooper, what would be our best route. Would it make sense to go to Cooper first and then to Little Jost? We would like to snorkel monkey point also. I'm also looking for recommendations on the Roti. We have had them from Cooper Island and they were good. We will be land based for a few days on VG so if there is somewhere on VG (or anywhere else) with good roti please let me know. Thanks again.

Well days have a way of getting away from one. I forgot ..if you are sailing and thinking about Cooper, the B line bar..sandy spit and Foxys taboo on the same day..won't happen. sandy spit B line and Foxy's taboo are near one another. The reason I suggested Taboo is that the kids and likely some older kids would enjoy a trip to the bubbly or non bubbly pool. Pretty good food. We nearly a.ways eat there when take our power boat to Jost.

I don't understand the B line bar as a must stop with kids. Nothing at all wrong with it..but time goes fast.. If you get up..have breakfast, get underway and sail to Sandy spit .,snorkel and enjoy some time on the little island...a lot of your day is gone. Let's say you pick up a mooring or anchor in diamond Cay ..you go ashore to taboo, lunch..some hike to bubbly pool I think it will be tomorrow..or more likely a non bubbly pool but great trail up to a high elevation for good photos..back to taboo where rest of crowd is ..a drink...a walk along the beach..,I doubt one wants to go to another bar about then. So I would do one or the other. Snorkeling is pretty good in diamond cay..I've seen lots of turtles and rays there. Pace yourself .:)

Please be cautious with the Bubbly Pool - a few years ago it was very active and a young woman was washed out to the seas.

We will be on a five night charter so I am not trying to do all of this in one day. We usually do a 7 night from St. Thomas so leaving from VG is throwing me for a loop.
