With SIMPLY closed and Leader Price not open yet, what is the closest large grocery to mt Vernon open in the early evenings?
Thanks

LARGE grocery store? Probably Super U in Marigot. Depending on what you want, Petit Casino in Orient Village may have what you need.

Leader Price is open. Super U is the best choice, but Petit Casino works for the short term. Several small grocery stores in Grand Case too.

OK, the OP said that Leader Price was closed, so thought that was correct.

Agree Super U in Marigot is the best. Leader Price is indeed open. But, if you are in Mt. Vernon, Cocci Market is just up the road from you. Turn right out of Mt Vernon as if you were heading to Pinel Island, instead of going left toward the traffic circle in Hope Estate. Small grocery is on the right just past the pharmacy. It is about the size of Petit Casino, but a decent selection, the parking lot is small but you can usually find a space. Closer for you than Petit Casino in Orient, anyway. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking it probably will be a little quicker than the new restaurants on Orient! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Thanks all. When we arrived Sunday leader price looked locked up good. Guess that's the normal shutters down at closing7. We did hit petit casino and bought all we needed and even had the big guy volunteer to carry/load the car out front. Went to leader price this morning for more Carib.

Not sure what time you arrived, but many grocery stores are closed Sunday afternoon. Glad you got what you needed at Petit Casino.
