After one whole month in SXM I have very, very little to report! We did almost nothing the whole month...quietest trip we've had so far. We did go to three TTOL parties...the Greenhouse on the 20th, BBB on the 25th, and Los Gauchos on May 5th. Had a nice time at all three and met some new TTOLers. Was kind of taken aback when we were charged fullprice for the drinks at Los Gauchos but Paul did not want to say anything so we let it pass.

We really enjoyed all the Carnival parades...saw three of them. Children's parade, Grand Parade and the Second Day Parade. I do have loads of pictures and hopefully will get them uploaded soon. We did go to the last Harmony Night in Grand Case and enjoyed a wonderful meal at La California. I can't believe that is the only restaurant we ate at in Grand Case! Very unusual for us. Had one dinner and two lunches there and all were great...especially the desserts!

Spent sometime at BBB with Wanda (she makes GREAT Bloody Mary's) and enjoyed talking with her about days gone by in SXM. Great hamburgers there. Also had a couple of breakfasts at Neil's Yacht Club. Paul really enjoyed the ultimate omelet...four (count them) eggs! Ouch!

Our find of the trip was Gutside Restaurant! What a great meal and such nice people. And the prices can't be beat! Paul had a gorgeous piece of Mahi Mahi, rice and beans and plantains and I had stewed chicken with the same sides. And with three Heinie's the bill was only $25.00. We met the owner one Sunday at the Yacht club and he remembered us. We also had a great lunch at Paradise View. Another good local place with good food, service, prices and people there. Our biggest disappointments food wise was at Temptation and Aqua. I had so much been looking forward to having a nice dinner at Temptation and it was really a bust! That is one place we will not give a second change. Oh...Pineapple Pete's is great! Also ate at Peg Leg, Chesterfield's and of course Baywatch. It was really great to see Andy and Cheryl again. Antoine's was just ok for lunch.

Have made our reservations for next year!
