One more thing that might be helpful. I acquired some contact dermatitis, probably while hiking in VG or JVD. It resembles poison ivy, which I am very allergic to. Research suggests I came into contact with a Christmas Bush, a.k.a. Poison ash. The itchy rash is starting to fade after 10 days, but I also read about the Machineel tree, which sounds far worse. Good idea to get familiar with each.
