The walk back up is challenging especially if you’re lugging a lot of beach stuff. It’s definitely doable for the bottom row of villas but if you’re at the top of Mont Choisy, the last leg up the hill is excruciating during the heat of the day. The stairs and path to the Friars/Happy path can be really slippery after a rain too. We are in our early 60’s in decent shape. We do use the path a couple of times each stay but usually drive down to the small parking lot at the white gate. It’s a longer walk but it’s much easier. I would walk down from the villas all the time but we carry chairs and a cooler.
