Sunday was a laid-back day spent beachside, diving into our books. The surf was a bit too rough for me, but David had a blast riding the waves on his boogie board. For breakfast and lunch we decided to eat at our unit. We ate a delicious almond croissant from Zee Best take away on Airport Rd . A baguette with cheese, dried meat, and fig jam made for a pleasant light lunch.
We’ve really come to appreciate D’s Beach bar’s proximity, so we treated ourselves to some midday cocktails. The staff is friendly and engaging, making our time there even more enjoyable. I even ventured up to their observation deck to film KLM taking off!
Dinner was super casual at Driftwood boat bar, where the atmosphere was lively thanks to a DJ spinning a mix of genres. While I like the bar’s vibe, the music was so loud that chatting with David was nearly impossible! He indulged in the shawarma served in pita bread, which he really enjoyed, while we shared a basket of fries. I opted for the chicken satay, which was tasty but a bit heavy on the peanut sauce, as you can see in the photo. Driftwood adds 15% sc.
After a fun-filled day, we decided to call it an early night.
I don’t have many photos to share this day. Much of what I captured was video, which I don’t believe TTOL supports.
