I am assuming that the group of 7 required only 1 VIP member to get this special treatment... I know the purpose behind this is to increase tourism and especially repeat tourism. The newbie (to BVI) met as a member of this group would likely be starting his trip with great first impressions, with visions of returning with own VIP status.
