Dreams is our favorite lunch place in SXM;we go there once a week for 6 months! Bruno, Georgea, and the staff are great,as are the atmosphere and the food. I'm loving your daily reports and pictures, Carol! Thank you.

What I meant is that a rose isn't exactly what one would think of, in connection with a big honkin' piece of beef! I have actually begun to really appreciate French roses' down here..

Our favorite is Minuty.

We also like Domaine Fontanyl. Never been a fan of strictly pairing reds with red meat, whites with white meat, etc. Of course, it's just my HO.

That meal looks to-die-for!

I am so glad you are now doing pictures for us to slobber over.
Can you describe the accompanying sauces? My guess would be a peppercorn, maybe a béarnaise, etc?

One was a mushroom sauce, there was also a mustard/horseradish sauce and not sure what the other was.

Well be on island in 5 days and dreams and this prime rib is on the list. If one was to spend a beach day there what time would the chairs/umbrellas be set up by? Is it le sands that is near by?

They serve breakfast, so I imagine the chairs and umbrellas are up pretty early, although I've never been there that early. LeSand is literally right next door, yes, just walk down the beach.

We've been there as early as 9:30 and the chairs were set up then. If you get there before they set up, they'll set some up for you. The service there is beyond excellent.

Sue--you're in for a treat! As I said in the report, people don't go there for the beach, but for the food. Enjoy!

Nice Carol!

We used to grill extra rib eyes for steak sandwiches on the beach the next day!
